We’re pleased to announce that we’re collaborating with the Transnational Holocaust Memory research network to host a special screening on Wednesday the 26th of April.
Laurie Slegtenhorst, a visting PhD student from the University of Rotterdam, will present Süskind by Rudolf van den Berg (Dutch/German, 2012).
Laurie’s presentation will explore questions of Holocaust memory, and how these are addressed in contemporary cinema. In particular, she will be focusing on the figure of the hero and its connection to national identity.
When: 5-8pm, Wednesday 26th of April
Where: LHRI seminar room 1
This screening is funded by the Centre for World Cinemas and Digital Cultures and the AHRC OWRI fund.
We hope to see you there.
