Our next screening will take place next week, when the Centre for World Cinema and Digital Culture’s Michael Samuel will present Whit Stillman’s The Last Days of Disco.
Stillman’s tribute to a bygone age, The Last Days of Disco has been described as a ‘a thoughtful study of decency and sin, loyalty and sex, friendship and socioeconomics’ (Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly).
As usual, the screening will be followed by a group discussion over wine and nibbles.
When: 6-9pm, Wednesday 3rd May
Where: Seminar room 1, LHRI
This screening is funded by the Centre for World Cinemas and Digital Cultures and the AHRC OWRI fund.
